A Rose in a Wall
of Thorns
For this project, I used many different mediums consisting of drawing paper, charcoal, graphite, india ink wash and micron pens. I used all of these to create an illustration from life as well as incorporating elements from my imagination. The teacup and roses in the center of the drawing were the still life while the vines and the cracked whole in the wall were from my imagination. I throughly considered my drawing process and placement of each element with my composition to create this illusion of the teacup and roses falling into a whole in a wall.
